{"id":8034,"date":"2026-05-08T09:44:25","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T15:44:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marfund.org\/en\/?p=8034"},"modified":"2026-05-08T09:55:25","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T15:55:25","slug":"join-her-ocean-accelerator-2026-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marfund.org\/en\/join-her-ocean-accelerator-2026-2027\/","title":{"rendered":"Join Her Ocean Accelerator 2026\u20132027!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-52999850 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"52999850\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<p data-start=\"206\" data-end=\"537\">El\u00a0<strong>Mesoamerican Reef Fund (MAR Fund)<\/strong>, in partnership with <strong>New Ventures<\/strong>, is announcing the call for applications for the <strong>Her Ocean Accelerator 2026\u20132027<\/strong>, a regional acceleration programme designed to support women-led businesses that contribute to the conservation, resilience and sustainable use of the Mesoamerican Reef (MAR).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">The call is open to <strong>women-led businesses<\/strong> in the early stages of growth and scaling up, which demonstrate a positive environmental impact on the MAR and the communities that depend on this ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">The Her Ocean Accelerator Programme, co-implemented by MAR Fund and New Ventures, is a six-month regional programme that strengthens and scales up businesses led by women with an impact on the Mesoamerican Reef.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nThose selected will have access to:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">Personalised mentoring<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">Structured acceleration methodology with customised work plan.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">Business and climate change training<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">Peer learning and regional and international networking<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">Access to catalytic non-repayable financine<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">Regional in-person meetings (kick-off and close)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\"><strong>Eligibility criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">Founded and\/or led by women (with an active strategic role)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">Located in Quintana Roo (Mexico), Belize, Guatemala or Honduras<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">Established operations with recurring clients<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">Consolidated team with defined and complementary roles<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">Legally constituted entity<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">Demonstrated positive environmental impact<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"760\">Willingness to adapt and strengthen the business model with external support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2024\" data-end=\"2285\">The application process consists of two steps.
