(FMCN) &#8211; M\u00e9xico <\/strong><\/p>\n<div>It is a private, non-profit institution created in 1994 that collaborates with other actors and sectors in providing strategic technical and financial support to sustain Mexico&#8217;s natural treasure. Through the mobilization of financial resources, the creation of alliances, and capacity building, FMCN has sought to conserve, restore, and sustainably manage natural resources for more than 30 years. Its work is made possible by a network of partnerships made up of communities, the three levels of government, the private sector, academia, civil society, and donors. Its mission is<em> to sustain our natural treasures, and its vision is to restore and maintain the health of our ecosystems and landscapes.<\/em><\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/12&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/12&#8243;][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/12&#8243;][vc_column_text]<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pactbelize.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-350 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/marfund.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/pact-logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"223\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;7\/12&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Protected Areas Conservation (PACT) \u2013 Belize<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Although a small country by geography and population, Belize is immensely blessed with natural wonders. Recognizing the importance of its national heritage, Belize began establishing its protected areas system in the 1960s. The Protected Areas Conservation Trust (PACT) is Belize\u2019s national conservation trust and provides funds for supporting conservation and promoting environmentally sound management of Belize&#8217;s natural and cultural resources to foster sustainable development. PACT offers project grants and capacity building grants for protected areas management, conservation, promotion and development; environmental education and awareness; and community development around protected areas. Since its inception in 1996, PACT has invested over $16.5 million USD in the protected areas system of Belize.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/12&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/12&#8243;][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/12&#8243;][vc_column_text]<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fcg.org.gt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-347\" src=\"https:\/\/marfund.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/fcg-logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"223\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;7\/12&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Fundaci\u00f3n para la Conservaci\u00f3n de los Recursos Naturales y de Ambiente en Guatemala (FCG)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fundaci\u00f3n para la Conservaci\u00f3n en Guatemala. Created in 2000, FCG has managed funds for about $ 4 million USD in the last years, through its diverse structure of grants, small grants, and sub-accounts, to support initiatives on biodiversity and natural resources, environmental education, natural and cultural heritage, coastal marine resources, research and environmental law, among others. It also administrates the $24 million USD of the Tropical Forest Conservation Fund, product of a debt-for-nature swap with the United States. FCG\u2019s team of six permanent staff and temporary consultants and external evaluators, administers, monitors, and evaluates projects in accordance with its general objective to promote the biodiversity conservation, sustainable development and use of natural resources, environmental management, and climate change mitigation and adaptation.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/12&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/12&#8243;][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/12&#8243;][vc_column_text]<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-349\" src=\"https:\/\/marfund.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/fundacion-biosfera-logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"223\" height=\"100\" \/>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;7\/12&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Fundaci\u00f3n Biosfera (FB) \u2013 Honduras<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"613\">Established in 2003, Fundaci\u00f3n Biosfera has managed and provided technical support to various projects under the Small Grants Program, funded by MAR Fund, aimed at co-managing organizations of marine-coastal protected areas in Honduras. It has also been part of the Marine Resources Conservation Project in Central America I and II. Likewise, strategic technical assistance and support in proposal development have been provided to at least 10 organizations for their submission to funding calls, contributing to the strengthening of their institutional capacities and improving access to financing opportunities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"615\" data-end=\"961\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">As a founding member of MAR Fund, Fundaci\u00f3n Biosfera actively participates in all activities pertaining to the Board of Directors, the Investment Committee, and the Governance Committee, including semiannual meetings, review of various documents, planning processes, and targeted support for actions related to project implementation in Honduras.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/12&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;510&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text] Given its role as a regional coordinating and fundraising institution, the MAR Fund relies heavily on the four in-country founding members to provide the daily oversight, monitoring, and evaluation for the implementing organizations\/grantees.
